DigiSAFE DiskCrypt is a 2.5” storage encryption hard disk, designed to be used in notebooks. It contains a removable 1.8” internal micro-SATA hard disk as well as a hardware-based cryptographic module that encrypts all data written into the disk to provide Full Disk Encryption (FDE). DiskCrypt encrypts every single sector transparently in hardware without any loss in disk performance.
DiskCrypt is a drop-in and easy-to-install replacement for standard 2.5” notebook hard disk drive and does not require any additional software drivers or applications to be installed. Users are assured that all the data on their hard disks is fully protected from unauthorized access in the event that the notebook is lost or stolen.
Transparently encrypts every single hard disk data sector for complete data protection

DigiSAFE DiskCrypt authenticates the user every time the notebook powers on. The notebook will only boot into the Operating System on the attached hard disk drive upon successful user authentication. DiskCrypt offers two authentication modes:
In this mode of authentication, the user is prompted for a Password at the pre-boot stage after power-on. DiskCrypt grants access to the user if the correct password is presented.
In this mode, the user is prompted for DigiSAFE KeyCrypt® USB cryptographic token (something you have), as well as the password associated with the token (something you know). DiskCrypt grants access only if the correct token and password is presented
