DigiSAFE DeskCrypt is a hardware-based encryptor protecting data in SATA hard disk drive. Uniquely designed as a bump-in-the-wire device on the SATA cable, it requires no external mounting and simply sits in-between the SATA connector on the motherboard and hard disk drive. It operates transparently and encrypts all data written into the hard disk without any loss in disk performance. Once deployed, users can be assured that all the data on their hard disk/s is fully protected from unauthorized access even if the hard disk is removed or stolen.  DeskCrypt supports pre-boot authentication to authenticate the user by means of a password or an optional USB token.
