ST Electronics (Info-Security) Secures Ethernet Network Project in Middle East Region
Abu Dhabi , United Arab Emirates , 2 March 2008 – Singapore Technologies Electronics Limited (ST Electronics), through its subsidiary, ST Electronics (Info-Security) Pte Ltd, [STEE-InfoSec] announced that it has been selected by a Middle East Government to secure its Ethernet network early this year. STEE-InfoSec, formerly known as DigiSAFE Pte Ltd, is showcasing these soluti ons at the International Security National and Resilience Exhibition and Conference (ISNR) in Abu Dhabi, UAE. ST Electronics is the electronics arm of Singapore Technologies Engineering Ltd.
In order to safeguard the information transfer across its Ethernet network, the customer requires the highest level of security available to protect data transfer across multiple connections. After a comprehensive evaluation of various options, the DigiSAFE NetCrypt was selected for its high info-assurance, reliability and cost effective design in meeting the customer’s requirements.
DigiSAFE NetCrypt is a high performance IP encryptor that enables the user to leverage on public Ethernet/IP infrastructure to connect to multiple sites in a secure manner. NetCrypt employs Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) algorithms for data confidentiality, secure hash algorithm and Internet Key Exchange (IKE) protocols for integrity protection and user authentication. The built-in firewall performs stateful inspection, packet filtering and supports Network Address Translation (NAT) features.
